Rare Antique Seroco Portrait Camera 4x5 Folding Camera Unicum Lens/Shutter :
$142.50

Here is a rare, antique Seroco Camera Co. 4x5 bellows camera that is somewhere around 110-120 years old so far as I know. Attractive wood finish as shown in photos. This camera was repaired by me - see below for details.Shutter / lens board marked UNICUM. The shutter has T, B, I, and 1/2 to 1/200 second markings. The shutter cocks and works but the slower speeds seem a bit sluggish. The camera displays very well and comes with an unbranded 4x5 film/glass plate holder that fits. The repair story: It had a few problems when I got it. The wood shutter/lens frame was broken at the bottom; the wood frame where the hinge connects at the bottom needed repair; and the focusing ground glass was gone. I carefully repaired the shutter/lens frame and it\'s hard to detect but in one photo you can see the back side of it where it is evident. I repaired the frame and reattached the door hinge and it seems fine. You cannot see this repair. I obtained a genuine old replacement 4x5 ground focusing glass and installed it. The maroon bellows appears to be light tight. The camera closes and opens properly. The extending track for the shutter/lens board works OK, but with a slight misalignment of the door track and the inner track, you may have to jiggle a bit to fully retract the lens board. It is not too bad. I think there is one screw missing from the long door hinge but it\'s holding OK. One end of the camera strap is partly frayed but still intact. See photos for overall condition; I have described everything I know so you are fully aware. Carefully packed for a safe trip, and final sale on this antique.Ships by USPS Priority Mail to US Addresses. Global Shipping Program accepted; check your country\'s import fees and international shipping cost before buying; I have no control over those. Sales tax collected if sold in Florida. Thanks for looking.HURRICANE NOTE: We are supposedly in the path of Tropical Storm / Hurricane Erika in South Florida and I am on a \"last street\" type of power grid so we may lose web access. If you have a question or make the purchase and don\'t immediately hear from me, that\'s probably why. I WILL do my best to communicate in spite of any storm.
