Rare H. Bettoney Silva-Bet Silver Plate Clarinet S950 Pat. Pending-Great Shape For Sale

Item up for offer is a beautiful rare H. Bettoney Silva Bet clarinet with the serial number of S950. This clarinet was manufactured mainly in the 1920\'s and this is one of the earlier models. This is the 2 piece model where the only part that detaches is the mouthpiece. These were made with nickel and then plated with silver over top. Keys are rounded differently than other clarinets to produce a richer sound. Tese were one of the first metal clarinets to be made which other companies copied off of to reproduce their success and sound but weren\'t able. This clarinet was the top model from makers WH Cundy and Harry Bettoney. This model has the one piece thumb grip that is soldered onto a box. Pads are all present and look to be in good condition. A rare treat and certainly will only go up in value. With mouthpiece and cover clarinet measures roughly 26.5\" tall. Condition Report:
Clarinet has some slight dings on the rim of the horn.
Will need a good polish.
Some keys need oiling, they move freely but seem to stick just a little.
Reed that is included will need to be replaced.
Unsure if case is original, but clarinet is fitted to the inside.
Case handle has several areas of wear and breaking visible.
