This evening I am offering a great grouping of vintage American wind-up toys from the late 1800 to 1930s. Please check out the bottom picture for the group and CLICK HERE to view the others (this sale is for the ONE ITEM listed below only)Wonderful late 1800s cast iron Ives Clockwork Floor Locomotive. Painted cast iron, 2-2-0 engine with brass clockwork, \"Pat Aug 1884\" embossed on cab. This is the smaller of the 2 classic Ives clockwork engines of the period. The large example of this engine is featured on the cover of the definitive work on these toys by Rick Ralston Cast Iron Floor Trains. Overall this is in very good condition. No breaks or cracks. Wind-up works well. Some paint wear and some oxidation underneath as pictured. Please ask any questions. A rare toy for your collections. Offering in sale format (support the sale format!) with . Buyer pays for shipping. When possible, multiple items will be shipped together to reduce shipping costs. PA resident to pay state sales tax of 6%.
