Up for offer is the Robbins & Meyers 12 inch Feathervane Oscillating Fan Circa 1912. This fan has a large tank motor in a \"C\" frame, the base is made of cast iron and has a three -speed slide switch. the guard is made of heavy brass wire in the \"S\" style. The blades are made of heavy sheet brass with a hole in middle of the motor shaft for the feather vane. there is gold pin stripping along the motor and base. THE FAN HAS SOME ISSUES:
1. The motor runs on high speed in all three positions.
2. Fan does not oscillate - I do not know how to set it to oscillate or if something is wrong with it, plenty of photos for those in the know to trouble shoot the problem.
3. A section on th \"C\" part of the frame has some paint loss - see photos
4. The power cord has been replaced with a newer type.
5. I have not cleaned the fan as I do not want to do something I should not have done.
That is all the issues I know of. The fan will ship U.P.S. insured. Ships to United States only. Please give response on shipping base/motor and fan guard/blade/feathervane in different boxes to avoid damage to brass parts. Email me with any questions or concerns.
Thanks for looking!

Added note: after seeing another fan like this one I see that there should be pin stripes around the base on the stand, most all of the pin stripes around the base of this fan up for sale are worn off. Please check out photos and/or email me with any questions. Thanks
