Rare Valentine 76 Fly Reel 3\" Early Serial #H00042-#42 Of 413 Reels Made-6/20/83 For Sale

You are offerding on a rare Valentine 76 fly reel with an early production serial# H00042. This is the 3\" reel and it was the smallest one offered in the Valentine line. I contacted Valentine Fly Reels and was lucky enough to speak with Larry Valentine about this reel this morning. He checked his records and this reel was the 42nd one out of the total 413 that were manufactured. It was shipped out of the factory on June 20, 1983 to a buyer in Naples Florida. I believe the reel was originally designed for trout and panfish fishing and it has the earlier lighter drag system. The reel show signs of wear from use, handling and years of storage. It has some scratches, scrapes, dings, dents and some finish wear/loss. It could use a good cleaning and fresh grease.
