Here is your chance to own a rare, early version Raleigh MK-1 Chopper 10 speed bike! Bike has original paint, a really nice seat, and nice chrome. Being a Colorado bike, it has NO rust or corrosion. Serial number on rear dropout is Q703***. This bike is bright orange and has a riveted headbadge, which should make it 1969.
Frame is straight with no cracks or repairs. Fork is nice but has a couple small dents on the inside of one fork blade. Handlebars are straight with typical small scratches. Stem is real nice and looks like it may have a NOS replace front bolt. Seat post and seat binder are nice. Sissy bar springs and caps are real nice. Seat is nice, original with a very small scuff/hole on top back edge. Shifter internal parts are all complete and in working condition. Plastic cover is nice, unbroken with the exception of the shifter window, which is cracked. This would be hidden by the 10 speed sticker. Currently 2 of the knobs have been replaced with bar end plugs. Front and rear brake calipers are both in excellent condition. Both cranks are nice, clean with nice chrome. The non-drive crank has a worn pin that needs replaced. Bottom bracket parts are all in good condition. Front and rear Huret derailleurs are both in excellent working condition. Pedals are in good working condition. Front wheel is 16 inches; it has an unmarked hub with an oil hole covered with a clip. Wheel is marked Sturmey Archer England, FA 12.0 16 x 2. Rear hub is marked Normandy made in France. Rear wheelis marked M.O. MFG., which is Murray Ohio Manufacturing.
Look closely at my pics as this bike has some missing pieces: NO kickstand, fenders, top half of sissy bar (I do not have the top half or the back rest), 1 shifter knob, 1 shifter lock knob, seat reflector, and the 10 speed shifter sticker that covers the 3 speed clear plastic window. These parts are not original: cables and tires and maybe the rear wheel.

Bike is a 1970. My fault entirely. I just remembered these as being sold in 69-70. The ten speed choppers were only available in 70-71. Sorry for the bad information. Mike.
