Rare Vintage Tandberg TR-2080 receiver - Beautiful cosmetics and wood case For Sale

Here is as a beautiful Tandberg TR-2080 receiver. This was their top of the line receiver back in 1980 or so. Please see the video where I demonstrate the AM, FM, Phono 1 input and Tape 1 input. The other phono 2 and tape 2 inputs work well also.
As you can see by the pictures, this thing is in GREAT cosmetic condition. Has a a beautiful wood cabinet. All controls and lamps work. All the input work. The tuning is smooth and it picks up stations across the dial. It has 2 headphone jacks, which is nice if someone else wants tolisten. There is a bit of dust here and there but it\'s in excellent shape. Will run 3 sets of speakers. I believe this is about 80 watts per channel. Controls work smoothly but occasionally one or two has a bit of static in it. But, it\'s barely noticeable in the video as it\'s only sometimes.This was made in Norway and has both the RCA type inputs and the European DIN type connectors so if you have any Bang and Olufsen equipment lying around (or any other European gear) with those 5 PIN DIN plugs, this unit will work. Of course, it will work with other Tandberg items as well as all the normal American gear that has the 2 RCA type plugs for every input.Please email me with any questions you may have.This unit while working now is about 30 years old and is sold AS-IS. Shipping will be by UPS/Fed-EX or USPS. I pack well but can only do so much which is why I take theinsurance. If something goes wrong (Lost or broken) You will need to let the carrier know so we can file a claim and get you a refund.
The package will be insured against loss or damage and a tracking number will be provided. Use the shipping thing as an ESTIMATE for UPS/Fed-EX/USPS. The unit is HEAVY!!!Lots of metal and wood. It weighs about 30 lbs all byitself. Will probably near 37 once it\'s wrapped and packed. To allow for enough space on all sides expect the box to be big. The unit it 20 incheswide by itself so the box will be about 26 inches wide. Shipping may be high if you are clear across the country from me.
For packing, I would wrap the unit in the large heavybubble wrap and then put into a box that is big enough to have room (2 or 3 inches) on each of the 6 sides for foam peanuts. Using a big box may cause shipping to be a bit higher. Sure, I couldcram this 20 X 15 unit into an 20 X 16 box that allows no room for packingmaterialsand then it\'s all busted. I don\'t pack like that.
The shipping could be off by a few bucks or so either way since I don\'t have it packed and weighed yet. Please do not send payment until I send you an invoice. It may take me a few days to buy/find a box and get it packed. Once it\'s packed and weighed and I have the exact address of where it is to be shipped, I\'ll send you an invoice. Local pickup is fine and free. I am right off the 94 expressway, about 45 miles north of Chicago and about 55 miles south of Milwaukee.
