HANDLE:

This vintage knife has a two-piece red handle that is most likely made from Bakelite. There are very nice black, brown, and tan spacers, which are very secure at end of the handle. The old, bright red Bakelite handle shows some usage, but is shiny, smooth, and very tight. Please note that the mid-section of the red handle slabs have slightly pulled away from the tang. However, the handle is tight and secure and offers a firm grip when held in your hand. The nice aluminum pommel shows normal wear and usage, for it\'s vintage age.

(please view photos for slender old blade shows possible signs of light re-sharpening or light honing marks. Also, this reflective knife blade has some surface scratches and a few signs of pitting on the blade and tang. The blade edge has no nicks, and the blade appears straight with a pointed tip.

This small hunting knife features split tang construction, a 7/8\" long secure metal finger guard. There is no movement in the tight finger guard, but there possibly could be a spacer or something missing. (please view photos for details)

SHEATH:

A vintage WESTERN black leather sheath is included. It has intact stitching, 2 metal rivets, and belt slot. The old sheath shows some wrinkles and wear, and is missing the snap strap. There is also a small tear (3/16\" long) at the front throat rivet, and the back side has some lines of light surface cuts. The 7\" long, leather sheath fits the small knife well for length.

The front of the case has \"oak leaf\" tooling designs, which is notable for WESTERN made sheaths.

This vintage WESTERN bird / trout hunting knife will make a welcomed addition for the collector, or outdoorsman in your family in your family!
