Original printer\'s proof paper posterfor 1920\'sRemington UMC Metallic Cartridge Company with beautiful illustration of pair of mallards at sunriseby artistLynn Bogue Hunt. This poster was discovered along with several otherForbes Litho. Co., Boston, MA advertising items in a New Hampshire estate and is fresh to the market. The bottom left corner reads: \"COPYRIGHT THE REMINGTON ARMS UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE COMPANY, INC.\"Across the top margin (which would have been trimmed off in production) is printed: \"REMINGTONARMS UMC CO. - SIDE PANELS - 33 PIECE SCREEN - NO. 214A\" followed by what appears to be a penciled notation \"2 18/20\". The color bars in the lower left marginindicate this was printed using nine separate colors.
SIZE: Image area measures 25-1/2\"x18-1/2\"; overall paper size is 27\"x20\".
CONDITION: Overall in excellent condition with a slight curl from being recently rolled, but there are not any horizontal roll creases. The colors in this poster are like the day it was printed. There are four registration marks at the top, bottom and sides in the yellow & green border with small 1/8\" holes punched at the top and bottom marks. There is a short vertical tear at the top left margin that extends into the grey about 1/4\". The top left corner is missing some of the grey background color but not difficultto in-fill if desired - thisoccurred in the production andnot a result ofpaper loss. Minimal wear to the far outer white border which would have been trimmed. There hasn\'t been any color touch-up, repairs, stains to this item - it\'s straight from the estate. View photos carefully; additional photos can be provided on request.
