Retro Sanyo Transistor Sphere Clock Radio Space Age Lucite Stand Modernist For Sale

Up for sale is the ultimate retro clock radio in almost pristine condition!

Most of the more creative & funky radios of the 60\'s & 70\'s were made by Panasonic but here\'s one done by Sanyo that is just as creative.  It is a Sanyo A.M. clock radio hanging from a  smoky lucite stand that still retains its original stickers on the inside.  The retro radio is held in place by a chrome attachment that allows it to swivel 360 degrees and is very eye catching at any angle.  This would look good in any Panton or modern mid-century themed area.  The dials are very cool, highlighted by 12 purple or lavender markers, also lime green and white dial indicators. The radio and stand are in excellent condition with no cracks or damage and very light wear or storage marks.  The battery compartment is clean and rust-free. I inserted 3 battery\'s ( 1 for clock and 2 for radio ) and they both instantly came to life. I have listened to this radio every day for the past week, set the alarm that turns the radio on when the clock hits a specific time, and played with all the dials. I would be surprised if this radio had ever been used until I unpacked it a week ago.  All of the dials operate smoothly and other than a few light marks on the stand the orange sphere radio and dial covers are scuff and scratch free
