Sansui 8080DB Stereo Receiver Professionally Refurbished New Parts LEDS:
$565.00

First off I would like to say thank you to my past and repeat customers, and hello, and welcome, to my new customers. Unlike many (not all) "Techs" on who "Restore", "Service", or "Rebuild", my restorations are REAL restorations, I use all new parts, new,Panasonic, and United Chemicon capacitors, Fairchild and On-Semi transistors. Every board inside the unit is restored, all new caps, new transistors, and diodes when needed. The wooden cabinet is also restored, which not too many want to take on. I make every effort to bring a piece of classic audio from yesterday back to prominence again, it gives me a good feeling when I can resurrect a broken down old piece of metal and glass and make it look so good that people want to display it in their living rooms. Thanks Again!

Here we have a very nice Sansui 8080DBreceiver. This came from the original owner who told me it's been played very little since new. This receiver came to me working properly. I have done an overhaul on this unit and now plays like new again. I have painstakingly changed most of the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver. Also some transistors were also swapped out. Mechanically this receiver is like or better than new, and it should bring many more years of listening pleasure to it’s new owner. I rebuilt the power supply, the power amp, the tone, and control boards. As you can see, and as you will hear, it sounds like a blast from the past. I have hand cleaned every PC board in this unit, I have re-soldered any suspect cold solders. I have cleaned and lubed all switches and pots with DeOxit and Faderlube for perfect pinpoint controls. I have replaced the dial lamps with brand new LED fuse type lamps, every lamp in this receiver works as it should. I have also set the voltages for DC Offset and idle current to factory specs. I removed all the knobs and switch covers and cleaned in a combination of warm water and mild soap, the faceplate is very attractive, the previous owner had this in a stereo cabinet all these years, this would look fantastic in any room of your home. I polished each knob and the faceplate with Blue Magic metal cleaner...looks great and shines very brilliantly. The wooden cover was refinished using Missouri walnut vinyl, it looks great! After the restoration this receiver bench tested at 94 old school watts per channel (85 original spec) and that is an understatement, this sounds more like a 160 watt receiver. This will blow the doors of anything produced today at this level of power. The tuner is excellent, and I live in a heavily wooded area where reception is difficult at best. This is a 41 year old receiver (1975) that looks and sounds new. This receiver has been playing continuous for the past week with no issues. This receiver has lots of punch, the phono sounds fantastic, all inputs and outputs work as they should. Whoever gets this Sansui will be extremely happy for many years to come. Overall I will miss this receiver, I have worked countless hours on it, and it is difficult to part with. It is a pleasure to be able to share my work with customers like you.

Please check my response for 100% positive reviews, I have sold over 675 receivers and all customers have been very happy with their purchases, just check my response. I will ship FedEx Ground fully insured to US customers only. With this purchase I will include a copy of the original owners manual for the 8080 as there are no 8080DB manuals available at this time, they are virtually the same receiver but this receiver is a little more powerful and has the Dolby option.
