From 1978, the Sansui G-6000 belongs to the distinct class of stereo receivers introduced during the decade of \"monster receivers\". Rated at 65 watts per channel, this beauty cranks out every last watt in warm full stereo sound.
I inherited this unit from my father who bought it new when he was in college. I had it professionally cleaned and re-calibrated in the summer of 2011 and I\'ve been using it with my 1970\'s era Technic\'s turntable ever since. This stereo is one of the best receivers I\'ve heard for vinyl listening. I\'ve recently upgraded to a higher-end integrated amp so am looking to pass this beast along to the next generation of vintage audio enthusiasts.
The cosmetic condition is excellent with only a couple surface scratches (see photos). The unit operates perfectly with all channels, inputs, meters, and knobs functioning appropriately. The light bulb behind the meters is out and I haven\'t had the motivation to replace it. Other details as follows:
- 65 watts per channel into 8 ohms
- All discrete DC amp design
- Two phonoinputs and two tape monitors
- 4-channel adaptor
- Mic input with level
- Dolby FM/de-emphasis switch
- Tone defeat switch
- Subsonic and hi filters
- FM muting and FM stereo switch
- Aux input
- Separate left and right power output meters
- Tuning signal meter
- Strength meter
Starting this out at $0.99 and going to highest buyer because this deserves to be enjoyed and not in my closet.
