Nice early American snuff bottle in golden amber with open pontil and inward tooled sheared lip. This one is a scarcer form with heavily indented molded edges.It measures 5\" tall and the base 2 3/4\"x 1 1/2\".
This one was polished at some time in the past so the surface is shiny but retains noticeable scratches and wear. The glass also has a somewhat cloudy look with back light.
Still a nice looking early piece is a less common form. The glass has a pleasant shading from darker at the base to much lighter in the shoulders.
