Signed and Numbered Tiffany 3 3/4\" Favrile Vase For Sale

The History you already know: The most famous of the American Art Nouveau art glass makers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Louis Comfort Tiffany took his famous name and applied it to his wonderful iridescent Favrile glass.Here is an engaging example of Tiffany\'s Favrile, exhibiting those much sought-after highlights of pink, green-blue, and purple.
Like the earth and the Artist\'s Dream from which this wonderful creation came, thesmooth and rounded surface of the piece is layered with depth and design; the more earthen hues at its base are played upon by the dancing whorls of golden waves. And rising, the designs smooth out, bringing the calm curves of opaque hues and rich gold, which then meld, closer to the top, into a mellow, pleasing golden glow.One of the most compelling beauties of the piece is found around the middle rim, and at the base. It is a deep, iridescentpurple hue.
Thisfascinatinglittle vase is in very good condition.There are a few bubbles present in the glass, and as seen in picture #7 a mark made by the creation process, but these, depending upon your love for Tiffany\'s work, may well add to this little wonder\'s character.Small and precious, this wonderful labor of love is yours for the offerding.
