During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the Georgian period of the early 19th century.

Staffordshire hunting dog, hounds head stirrup cup with the wonderful detailed facial features.
Stirrup cups were used at the beginning of a hunt and were filled with a mead which was drunk by the hunting party.
Wonderful colour and portrayal.
It has an overall height of about 2.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall conditionis excellent and is not subject to:
any major blemishes except minor areas of loss of colour with very fine crazing.
