It is similar in size and construction to the 8 sided clocks made by Neon Products Inc. in the 40\'s and 50\'s. All components are MADE IN USA including the transformer. The neon electrodes and transformer are located in a ventilated box, mounted separate from and above, the thermometer element. This insures that any heat generated by the transformer and electrodes will not affect the accuracy of the thermometer.Also notice that there are rubber bumpers or feet at all contact points with the wall this will prevent the thermometer from scratching up you walls or you walls from scratching the thermometer insuring that both stay in good condition.It measures a huge (for a thermometer) 18.25 inches.All Graphics are silk screened exactly as they would have been in the 40\'s and 50\'s NO VINYL anywhere on this thermometer.The outer lens is 1/8 inch thick glass with the numbers and white background professionally screened on the back side of the glass.
