Super-pretty Miranda S SLR with 5cm f/2.8 Soligor
This camera is a beautiful example of the Miranda S of 1959. According to the Miranda collector\'s website, this was an economy model for entry into the U.S. market. It has a waist-level finder, shutter speeds down to only 1/30th, and a non-instant-return mirror. [link removed by ]This one looks great in general. It has a couple tiny spots of missing chrome below the lens mount (photo 8) and a tiny area of missing black paint on the back (photo 9). Glass and coating look perfect. The lens focuses smoothly. There is considerable wear on the iris blades, but no oil. There are several noticeable but tolerable mechanical issues. The 2nd shutter curtain does not fully close at 1/60th, 1/30th and B. The 1/30th speed behaves like B - it does not begin to close until the shutter button is released. The iris control on the lens is smooth and easy as long as the lens is not focused on infinity. When it\'s at infinity the iris lever binds a bit. The exposure counter disk rotates very easily away from the correct count, but it does count correctly.Guarantee and Shipping: Full refund including shipping both ways for any reason within 14 days of delivery.
