This is a quite superb recumbent pug with the butterfly to the tail of which:

During our research we have been informed it certainlydates from the 19th century.

Dates about c1890.

Of a european origin.

It and other similar dog figures including other pugs from the 19th century were part of a recent house clearance.

Pottery ceramic.

Wonderful portrayal of the recumbent pug with to the tail: the coloured butterfly.

it has an overall height of about 3inches.

Hollow base, with ceramic internally, including stretched legs has an overall size ofabout 4.5 x 2inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is excellent with no major blemishes.

Has green baise underneath which can be removed.
