In my estimation it dates from around the early 20th Century,but please make up your own mind about this.

Themagic lantern projectormeasures approx17 3/4inches (450mm) long with the lens retracted.

The height is12 1/2inches (320mm) to the top of the chimney.

The lanternis made from lacquered brass and tinplate.

The brass projection set has a 1 1/2 inch (40mm) diameter projection lens, and an internal 4 inch (100mm) diameter condensor lens, (both in good condition with no cracks or chips.).

The rack and pinion focusing adjustment works smoothly.

Thereis aninspection door atone side, which has an inspection window (for checking the lamp)and bears the makers nameplate.

The metalwork is in very good condition with no dings or damage.

It is complete with its tinplate carrying case.

This is a fine example of its type, by a sought after maker,and it would make a great addition to any collection.
