This is a superb pair of Samson porcelain recumbent sheep with the intricate detailing of applied chipped decoration, mounted onto the decorative bases with the bocage to the rears ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed they are certainly of antique years.

Underneath each piece, the gold anchor marks of Samson of France.

A pair of recumbent sheep with their wonderful portrayals.

Intricate detailing with the applied chipped decoration.

A left & a right.

To the rears, the intricate bocage decoration.

Mounted onto the decorative oval bases with the gilt decoration to the fronts.

Each has an overall height of about 3.25inches.

Base sizes of about 3.75 x 3inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition to both is excellent and both are not subject to any major blemishes except:

minor chipping & nibbles to the bocage at the rears.
