Excellent quality 16mm optical sound print of the rare James Whale feature THE OLD DARK HOUSE(1932)starring Boris Karloff, Ernest Thesiger, Charles Laughton, Gloria Stuart and Melvyn Douglas. Printis complete, runs 72 minutes.Image quality of this reduction from 35mm is excellent, print is sharp and has a full tonal range from shadows to highlights. This is one of the old \"Bob Lee\" prints, struck from a 16mm negative that was a reduction made directly from 35mm elements. Has the well known sound sync problem in the opening titles (ONLY the opening titles, the rest of the film is in perfect sound sync) due to misplacement of the \"A Message from the Producer\" card after the opening credits. In near like-new condition with only five or six splices throughout.No vinegar smell. Photos were taken offmy basement theater screenwith my digital camera.
