Troughton Simms Transit theodolite For Sale

Late 19th century English pattern theodolite (has sun eyepiece filter for sun shots), manufactured by Troughton & Simms.
Instrument is in excellent condition only showing oxidation to the lacquer/oxidized finish.
Optics excellent, all spirit levels intact and original. Horizontal/vertical microscopes excellent.
Instrument as pictured is 19 inches long and 12 inches high.
Both case are in excellent condition - no cracks and all original hardware.
Also has the trough compass.
Fine example of an english pattern theodolite by one of the best scientific instrument makers.
