A rare old lens, s/n 839 (the oldest TTH I\'ve seen...)
H.D. Taylor\'s patent holds the design clues to this one.The engravings are:(On the mounting flange)

The lens unscrews into 3 component parts. The rear is a doublet with some minor dust specks within, the central part contains the aperture blades, measured on the black aperture dial as from f11 to f45, and also contains another lens element, the final (front) part contains a final element(s?) with at least 4 small air bubbles within.
All lens parts are cleaned as best possible by myself but there are still \'blooming\' marks visible, particularly on the rear element/s.Cosmetic condition is largely good, brass holds its varnish and is not tarnished.
There is a small dent to one side of the front lens \'hood\' ring surrounding the front element but not by much.
Length 40mm, diameter (of lens) 50mm, outer diameter of flange 65mm, inner diameter of flange thread c. 43mm.
