Unissued WWII PAL M4 Bayonet for M1 Carbine with USM8A1 Scabbard.

Correctly identified in M.H. Cole\'s \"The Best of U.S. Military knives, bayonets & Machetes., page 141. Complete with the leather washer handle, plastic spacers, and parkerized blade. 

Cross piece guard marked U.S. M4, PAL. Reverse side of the cross piece has the flaming bomb stamp.
End of the pommel has the following: 55 S and a B or R... 

Approximate Measurements: 
6 5/8\" inch blade
Overall length: 11 5/8\" inches

Scabbard is marked: U.S. M8A1; B. M. Co.

Condition: This bayonet is in superb condition and appears to have been un-issued. Very light wear if any on the knife and scabbard. Light wear from being inserted into the scabbard. All is nice and tight. See photos below.
