Univox U-45B guitar amplifier - 10 watts - 12\" Jensen For Sale

Presented foryour consideration is my vintage Univox U 45B guitar amplifier.

This is the finest know example availabletoday AND the only one in existence with the factory original plastic cover.

I found this at a garage sale years ago. It was sitting on a shelf in the fellow’sgarage. He said that he was the originalowner and that he only played it for about 6 months before he gave up playingguitar. It was on a shelf in his garage ever since...

The amp hasbeen re-capped. It has all new old stockvintage tubes and the power cable has been upgraded to a 3 prong grounded setupto eliminate the possibility of electric shock.The new grounded cable also reduces background noise on this alreadyclean circuit. It comes with theoriginal Jensen 12” speaker (which is in excellent condition).

Many \"Beater\" examples have sold in the mid $200 range. Nicer ones have sold in the mid $300 range. This one should sell for somewhere in the mid $400 to $500 range...

listed the weight and dimensions incorrectly (or maybe I messed up when I listed it, I\'m not sure, but it is easier to blame )... :-)

With that said, the actual weight will be approx. 15 lbs
and the size will be 20\" x 20\" x 10\"
Shipping costs will be whatever the actual cost comes to.

Also, I did not mention that it comes with the original guitar cord supplied with the unit and the original foot switch. The foot switch contacts are corroded and a good tech may be able to clean the contacts, but the actual switch is easy to replace and it should operate as good as new. If you don\'t want to mess with this switch, any single foot switch will plug in and function just fine.

Some people have noted that the tiny white decorative cord that runs around the unit is loose at the lower corner where it wraps around to the bottom. This cord is pressed in, not glued in. Over the years it has shrunk and pulled out of the grove. I could have easily glued it in place, but I preferred to show the unit exactly as it was without doing any modifications to the exterior or cabinet in any way, shape or form. The cord can be easily pulled, stretched and glued in place if you wish to make that modification.

Some were asking the year of production. I did a little research and the date code on the Jensen speaker, as far as my research goes, is 220610 which equals the 10th week of 1966. So this unit is most likely a mid 1966 Univox release...
