Markings:The left side is marked \"S A / Cherry Bomb / 1922\" and the right side is marked \"US / 1192041\". The grip is marked \"270\".
Size: The blade is approximately 16\" long with a 15\" main cutting edge. OAL is about 20 1/2\"
Description: This is a Model of 1905 bayonet that has a lot of finish and a 1922 date. The grips are un-sanded wood. The scabbard is canvas and leather.
Condition: The blade retains most of its bluing. The hardware on the handle has less finish than the blade. The markings remain sharp and clear but we are not sure of the originality of the finish on the blade. The lug mechanism work properly. The grips are worn and have some compression marks and chips. The scabbard has some tears and pen markings and the leather looks good. Please see our pictures for a better understanding of condition.
