Vintage 1920\'s hand tooled western saddle signed Thomas Saddlery Deming, N.M. For Sale

Offered is a true western saddle, reportedly from the 1920’s. The cowhide leather is rich in color and still pliable. Tooling is hand done and hand signed Thomas Saddlery, Deming NM. Made with brass rings rather than the newer aluminum or stainless steel models. Stirrups are intact and in good shape but note than (1) silver conch is missing. Length from center of horn to back of seating area is 17.5” (19.5” to actual back of seat). Researching the web I found that Thomas was one of the (5) remaining saddlery’s in Deming in 1950. They all used French Calf, regular cowhide or “rough out” with the flesh side of the hide facing out with the finish being black or brown.
