I know very little about cameras but please ask any questions you like and I'll try to answer as best I can.
From the information taken from the internet, as best I can tell this is a Vintage 1930's-1940's very nice quality Plaubel Makina IIs camera. The IIs differs from the standard II model because of the larger lens.
Front of camera is a bright metal while the body is covered with a black leatherette finish.
Also included is a Plaubel film holder / roller.
Shutter opens and closes smoothly when lever is depressed.
Lens appears to be bright, clean and clear. Aperture opens and closes when lens is turned.
Bellows are slightly dusty but excellent otherwise. No holes, tears or repairs.
There is spotting / wear on the following; the large outer ring where the lens screws in, the rear liftable view finder, the left strap hanger, the knob on the far left side of the camera and the small eyepiece at back top center.
The black cover shows minimal wear, no holes, tears or missing pieces.
The film roller / holder is a little dirty inside and has a small spot or two of surface rust and a bit of pitting on the spindles. Otherwise it is very nice and the exterior is nice as well. Knobs and spindles turn correctly.
Comes with a leather, felt lined, fitted case that is not marked in any way that I can find. It has scuffs, missing the strap and has old tape residue on one side. Latch functions and the camera fits perfectly.
There are two pamphlets that appear to be instructions for the film roller. These papers will be in the small side pocket of the leather case. See upon arrival to you.
I wish that I could say for certain that the camera functions properly, but I simply do not know. But from what I see and move it gives every indication that it would function. I would advise servicing and adjusting as well as a thorough cleaning. You'll have a beauty when you've finished. Purchase with possible repairs and or servicing in mind
Nice fine quality, heavy, well made, very durable film camera.
Please take a look at all photos. I have provided photos of all outside and some inside areas of the camera.
Happy to try and answer any questions.
