Welcome to Musicdungeon, you are offerding on a great piece. This is the Vintage Early 50's Buescher Big B Aristocrat Baritone Saxophone.Serial #: 3307xx. This puts this sax to right about 1950. Many years before the Selmer buyout in '63. Buescher has been producing high quality band instruments for over a century and the pre-Selmer examples are held in very high regard. The Big B Aristocrat is legendary- sought after by players and collectors alike. Deep, rich tonal character with a distinctive voice. This Buescher is in very good overall condition. There is the typical oxidation/plating wear, resolder repairs, and denting as you can see in pics. The majority of the pics can be used at the top of the sale with the magnifier tool so you can really get a 'feel' for the instrument. The pads have wear and should be replaced. Plays as-is, but would benefit from a set up. The neck collar needs to be resoldered as you can see in pics.This was just played down by one of Long Island's most noted techs(a Big B fan himself) and received an enthusiastic thumbs up. 1. For your protection, and ours, we ship everything fully insured. International orders over $650 please add $20 for full USPS insurance.
