Here for your consideration, we are offering a nice Martin Model A mandolin.Although Martin mandolins dont have the same cache as some other brands,in fact they are very nice instruments, play great and sound excellent.This Model A was made in 1951....63 years young and ready to rock....Mahogany back and sides and Spruce top.Plays quite well , although Im not really a mandolin player. Ebony binding on the top and back.The frets are inplayable condition, but have slight divots in the first 7 frets. They have a good deal of height and could be milled.Has no case, but will be Very well packed for shipping.The action is VERY low and easy; this does NOT need a reset.Has a fair amount of dings and scrapes and one small area that has been impacted on the top, but no other cracks .This is a very nice instrument for an intermediate player who doesn\'t want to spend $5000 for a nice Gibson.As always , we suggest taking this instrument to your favorite luthier for action and intonation setup to suit your personal taste.This instrument was made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, USA.The neck is straight and the action is silly low al the way up the fretboard.No repairs.No modifications.Serial number is stamped in the backstrip # A-20135; dates this to 1951.Please scroll down and look at all the pictures and read our policies
