Vintage (1960?, Kalamazoo) Gibson electric Mandolin EM-250, excellent / rare For Sale

Rare 1960 (?) Gibson EM-250 solid-body electric Mandolin. Serial-Number 895779. (Do your own internet search for details regarding production date, pick-ups, wiring, finish. You likely believe everything you read on the internet ... right?) ☺ANYHOW !!This is the \"real deal\". Never messed with, never abused. A bit of tarnish on the metal stuff (mostly, the tailpiece and cover with the Gibson engraved logo) ... and I could easily have polished it out ... but, left it intact / \"as is\", for you (the new owner) to do as you wish. The dark sunburst lacquer (nitro?) is also original, and showing scant haze, which I suspect can easily be polished-out. Some age-related finish checking evident ... not much. This thing is about 55-yrs old, don\'t forget. A small ding at the neck-joint / strap-button. Neck is straight. One tuner-button is beginning the dreaded shrinking. The others are good, but discoloring is evident. Action is at medium-height. Strings needing replacement. Plays great ... sounds great. Can be plugged into an acoustic-guitar amp, straight into the board ... or, the channels on a regular guitar amp. Awesome sounds when reverb and a bit of over-driven tube distortion employed. It \"sings\". Create your OWN sound (now that\'s a novel concept, isn\'t it?).NO case. Will be packed extremely carefully, fully insured as to value determined by selling price.
