Top Of The Line Amp! Made by Valco / Supro!This is really cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1965 Gretsch 6160 Chet Atkins Country Gentlemen Amplifier. Super Rare. This was the Companion Amp for the Gretsch Cheat Atkins Country Gentleman Guitar. Top of the Line Amp. Built by Valco.This amp was manufactured by Valco in Chicago, and this parent company was also home to brands including Supro, National, and Airline, thus the notable similarities in both tone and cosmetic appearance! One of the rarest, most complex, and feature rich amps ever produced for Gretsch, this two channel amp is notable for sporting the 6160\'s earliest chassis design and speaker configuration, with two matching alnico Jensen P12R speakers. This amplifier shines with rich, articulate, and warm clean tone, with a depth and harmonic complexity that is complimented well by the top end detail and natural compression of the Jensen P12R. This amps excels in any genre that requires beautiful clean tones, such as R&B, Jazz, or old school Country, and of course if you push the amp to its limit, theres a bit of smooth overdrive on tap as well.
The Jensen P12R Alnicos are Brand New! They sound AWESOME!A unique feature of this amp is its foot-switchable, pitch shifting, vaguely Leslie sounding Vibrato that feels thick, lush, and distinctly vintage. Also built in is a fully-functioning tuner that can be set to \"hum\" at a desired pitch for you to tune to. The circuit is very original, with stock transformers. All original Power, Output and Pots.

Our Amp Tech Serviced this amp. He cleaned all pots, jacks and tube sockets. Replaced Fuse and Fuse Holder. Installed brand new rubber feet and a 3-prong grounded ac cord. Fully Serviced. You won\'t have to spend any additional monies on this amp. Gig Ready on Arrival!Cosmetics:GoodCondition.The Speaker cloth is brand new. It is Fender Silver/Black. Speakers have been replaced. They are Brand New Jensen P12R Alnicos. The Gretsch logo isnot original. There are Scratches, Scuffsand Tears in the Tolex. The Lettering on the instrument control bezel in good shape. Some pitting and wear on the bezel itself. Keep in mind that this is a 53 year old amp that has been used. Very Authentic. Dripping with \"Mojo\" It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
