This clock works perfectly, keeps good time,and hasa working alarm.

Winding tensionsare soft and sure.

Set wheels are firm and steady.

The alarm sound is a gentle alert.

The tic-toc of the worksissubtle andquiet.

It has a beveled edge crystal . . note in the first picture, the crystal has a \"stars in the sky\" look to it. I don\'t know if this is by design, or if it is maybe dust or something. The thing is, it is very even, and is not troubling. But if it is dust or whatever, the case comes apart easily with 4 small screws, and it could be cleaned.

Its patina gracefully represents its age.

Size is approximately 3 1/2\" by 3 1/2\".

With itsweighted base, the clock weighs nearly a full pound.
