Vintage Bear Glass Powered Grizzly Recurve Bow W/ Compass/ original string #41 For Sale

Here\'s a vintagemodel Bear that features an embedded directional compass in the main body of the bow, just 4 inches below the high relief felt arrow rest (see pictures). The bow is fused together with intricate supportive layers and sports a central body of attractive zebra wood. This Grizzly comes with the original string. The string has threaded rubber bumpers set in, that rest at top and bottom. They\'re adjacent to the upper and lower contact surfaces to protect the wood from string torque and snapping force. It\'s a 60 year old bow and these protectors have become dry and cracked over time (picture). Also incorporated in the string are plastic gripping guides that can be individually adjusted up and down for the custom grip. It\'s a right hand draw. The overall length is 58\". I see no stress lineal cracking. There\'s some some light superficial crosswise markings in the bow finish at top and bottom of the \"bowed areas\" where bow rested against a surface while being stored or transported. There are two holes (each 1 mm in diameter) that are one inch apart from each other interrupting the main body, most likely for a arrow quiver (pictures). Other than that the finish appears solidly glossy and all but unused.
