This \"Fry\'s\" box is in \"as found\" condition and has not been repaired or restored. It would have been used in the local grocers shop to display and dispense Fry\'s Chocolate Cream Tablets - 2d Tablets. They would have been sold in small bars. The box is made from wooden sides and a cardboard lid, back and base with its original label to the front and interior of the lid. The front label is in great condition if a little dull from age, but the interior label is still bright and has a good depth of colour considering its age. Great to find with the additional label about increased weight and size! The impressed black lettering to the sides, back and top of the box is still clear and vivid. The lid is well attached.The box has the usual marks, stains and scratches you would associate with well used items of this age.It measures 28 cm (11 inches) long and is 22 cm (8 3/4 inches) wide.  This \"Fry\'s\" box is in \"as found\" condition and has not been repaired or restored. It would have been used in the local grocers shop to display and dispense Fry\'s Chocolate Cream Tablets - 2d Tablets. They would have been sold in small bars.

Fry\'s started making chocolate in 1759 and went through many name changes and moves before making a chocolate bar; or tablet as they were then called; in 1847. The famous Fry\'s Chocolate Cream was first produced in 1866.

The box is made from wooden sides and a cardboard lid, back and base with its original label to the front and interior of the lid. The front label is in great condition if a little dull from age, but the interior label is still bright and has a good depth of colour considering its age. Great to find with the additional label about increased weight and size! 
The impressed black lettering to the sides, back and top of the box is still clear and vivid. 

The lid is well attached.

The box has the usual marks, stains and scratches you would associate with well used items of this age, I personally love all these signs of age and wear, it all adds to the character and charm.

The box is in good condition, and is delightful in appearance.

It measures 28 cm (11 inches) long and is 22 cm (8 3/4 inches) wide. It is 8.5cm (3 1/4 inches) deep.

This would make a great storage box for any part of the house.
