Vintage Dame Stoddard Co. \"Optimus\" Fly Fishing Reel For Sale

This is a vintage Dame Stoddard Co. \"Optimus\" fly
fishing reel, German silver with Bakelite side
plates, and a black handle.It is marked:
Optimus
Dame Stoddard Co.
BostonIt is also marked \"80\" on the bottom of the reel foot.The reel is 2 3/8\" in diameter, and has very smooth
operation, and a strong clicker.Please note: There is a crack in the Bakelite on one
side of the reel (please see photos).This Dame Stoddard Co. \"Optimus\" would be a nice
addition to any collection of vintage American-made
fly fishing reels.
