Here is aBetsy Wetsy from Ideal in the mid-1950s.Betsy has a hard plastic head and vinyl jointed body. She is about 11” – 12” tall and marked “MADEIN USA / Pat. No. 225207”. Betsy hasclear blue open and shut eyes with full eyelashes. She has painted molded hair with wavy curls(paint rubs / missing hair paint). Hercheeks are rosy and her lips are red, with an open mouth for a bottle. Betsy has holes in her nose, for using atissue, and holes beside her eyes for crying tears. Betsy does cry a squeal, when her tummy ispressed.
Betsy Wetsywears an original Ideal dress and bonnet set, in a mint green with lots of lacetrim. The fancy dress closes in the backwith two original buttons. Baby also hasher white cotton slip, undershirt, flannel pinned diaper, and original pink andwhite knit booties. Betsy has all of herfingers and toes. No odor.
