This is an sale for one of the classic, vintage modelrocketry accessories - the Estes Cineroc model rocket movie camera. The Cineroc, produced from 1969 to 1974, was aminiaturized super-8mm movie camera built into a model rocket nose cone thatwas started just before lift-off. Thecamera looked down along the rocket body so you could see action like lift-off,staging, parachute deployment and the ground spinning far below.
Originally purchased and built by me as a kid, it was flowna total of 4 to 5 times during 1971.
This is NOT new, but is in excellent condition. Included is the box with packing, batterytest wire, original parachute and shock cord, detachable pulley, manual andinstructions, but is missing the reward if found sticker, decal sheet, and filmpack. Included is a rare, original setof (2) batteries (size N) in their original packaging.
Main body in excellent shape, with no cracks, deformaties ordiscoloration. Nosecone has an eyeletattach hole to allow downward viewing during decent. Extremely minor scuff marks on body and ascuff on the yellow tape from being flown. Corrosion free terminals and motor. The original drive band is in place (butshould be replaced if you actually plan to fly it). Should work as new, but I have not tested it.
The box is in very good shape, with internal dividersincluded. While the box shows somediscoloration and wear on the top flap, you can see by the picture it is still quitenice.
The recommended booster for this camera was the Omega2-staged D-powered rocket, which is not included.
