Vintage High Carbon Sabatier 4 inch Nogent Chefs Knife Blank For Sale

Drop forged over 100 years ago from virgin steel (NOT recycled steel like is used today) at the Sabatier factory in Thiers France This piece is a real find. It was located in a warehouse owned by a gentleman who used to own Sabatier.
The blade measures 4 X 0.75 inches and is not marked. The overall length of this knife blank is 8 3/4 inches. Total weight is 1 1/4 oz.
The blade is straight with a Nogent (Rat Tail) tang. This blank is virgin forged and has not been ground or worked in any way. Please Note: The knife blank in the picture is a fair representation but not the exact knife blank you will be receiving.
