Vintage Kalmen Opperman Clarinet Mouthpiece For Sale

From the large KO all over the mouthpiece, this is definitely a piece made by Kalmen Opperman, legendary teacher and mouthpiece maker. This one is a bit of a puzzle because the majority of mouthpieces I have seen by Opperman are made on French blanks, but this appears to be a Babbitt blank. I am guessing this is a later model. The good news is that it is extremely responsive, has a nice, centered sound and plays great on Vandoren 3 reeds. It  feels just a bit too open for me. I think someone will really enjoy playing this one! The tip, rails, bafffle and table are in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or scratches.
