Vintage Lynda and Alan Marx Bisque Doll. Signed on back of head Lynda and Alan Marx 1987. Head is stamped Bru J and 13.Jointed arms and legs, head turns/swivels. She is about 13.5" high without the stand. Stand is made by Kaiser and has a couple small rust spots. Easily replaced. Her style of dress is French. The overdress has a sewn in tag (see photo) as follows: Fashioned by Darlene Cappelletti.
She is wearing kid leather shoes decorated with pink satin flowers and seed pearls, lace stockings, white/off white bloomers, and Pink satin and lace overdress decorated with satin roses and gold seeds and lace edge sleeves. The overdress snaps together beautifully. Her hat is Pink satin with lace overlay and decorated with pink satin ribbons, pink roses, white feathers, and seed pearls. She is wearing a beautiful long blonde spiral curl and braided wig. I am not sure if the hair is mohair or human hair. I can't read all of the markings inside the wig - it appears to say: ?? of quality, Los Angeles and ??. There are some numbers inside as well. I did not have enough space for the picture of the marking but will send it to you upon request. I am not sure if she is considered Jumeau style. ? She has pierced ears but no earrings. She is in excellent condition. There are some mild markings around her sides from the stand rubbing against her. The original paper around her middle was meant to protect her from stand markings but over time the paper deteriorated. It is coming off in the back, but I have left it on around the middle. I am happy to answer any questions.Thank you for looking.
