This is a vintage MPP (Micro Precision Products) Micro Technical 5x4 Folding Camera, which comes complete with SCHNEIDER XENAR 4,7 135mm Lens and Micro Technical Plate Holder.

I am uncertain what Model it is, but it has a rangefinder and carries serial number 6101, which I think dates it to the 1950\'s and may be makes it a MkVI or MkVII?  Perhaps someone could confirm these details please and I will add it to the listing?

Whilst it is untested with film, as far as I can tell, mechanically, it is in working order.  The Aperture and Shutter controls all seem to be working, as does the Shutter Release.  I can confirm that the Shutter Speed varies according to the setting.  I do not know how the range finder works, as there do not appear to be any controls or means of adjustment??

The Bellows appear to be in pretty good condition, but are a bit dusty and one of the metal tags (purpose unknown) is missing (see last photo).  I cannot detect any splits or tears.

The hinges and sliding/rail mechanisms/adjustments appear to be in good working order, as do the lateral adjustments.  However, one of the small catches (which I think should correspond to the metal tags attached to each side of the bellows) is broken/missing (see second from last photo).

The spring loaded latch that keeps the camera closed is slightly lose.  However, despite the free play is does work, so is only mentioned for the sake of accuracy.

The rear of the camera rotates smoothly in both directions and the spring loaded hinged section is held closed by the spring, so should be light proof.

The focus screen hood folds/unfolds, but one of the springs is quite weak, so needs a little help, but once open, it is perfectly functional.  There is some free play in the catch that holds the screen closed, but it does work, so again is only mentioned for the sake of complete accuracy.  There is a hinged, height adjustable, Viewfinder on top of the camera, the markings are a little worn, but remain readable.

I am not qualified to dismantle the camera, so I cannot comment on the internal condition.  However, with the Aperture fully open and the shutter held open (using shutter speed B) I can see there are a few specks of dust on the lens, but no fungus that I can detect and no deep scratches or other marks.

The focusing screen is also quite dusty, so needs a clean.  I can see the focusing screen has a small mark on it, virtually in the dead centre, but I can\'t decide whether this is supposed to be there as a guide, or not!!  In any event I doubt it would impact image quality.

Cosmetically, the camera could do with a clean, but as far as I can tell it is in pretty good condition, with very little oxidisation.  The leatherette is all complete and just lifting slightly in one or two places, but there are no splits or cracks.  The metal body has a few scuffs and blemishes, but nothing serious.  The adjustable leather handle/strap looks to be in good condition.  Please examine photos.

The plate holder is marked 5x4 Technical Holder and has two slide out sections, I assume for holding plates/film?  They appear to be complete, but I cannot comment on their condition. (see photos).

I also have a SCHNEIDER ANGULON F6.8 90mm Wide Angle Lens for this camera listed separately.  I am always pleased to combine shipping to reduce postage cost, but due to the weight of this camera, the saving will vary from country to country and therefore interested buyers should request a combined shipping quote.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who can provide further information on this item.
