For your consideration this week is a gorgeous 1938 Zenith tube radio model 5-S-320 (referred to as the \"Race Track\" model). The radio restoration was completed by me just last week. The cabinet is solid and very stunning to the eye. The knobs, bezel, dial face, and dial glass are all in excellent condition. The chassis is excellenet and all of the tube protectors are present. All of the tubes are strong being verfified on my tube tester. I have replaced the filter and wax capacitors with new. Checked all of the other components and replaced if needed. The speaker is in excellent condition and sounds great with no vibration or distortions. There are 2 new dial lamps, new grill cloth, and a new AC power cord. There is an antenna wire at the back of the radio that will require you to attach 14-16 feet of wire for proper reception and performance of the radio. Wire not included and the level of performance will vary with your location and signal strength.The left knob is the Vol/On/Off, 2nd is the tone, 3rd is the tuning knob, and last or far right is the band selector switch. (left is Automatic, middle is BC (AM), and right is Short Wave or Foreign). The push buttons are original and are fully functional.
