Vintage Puukko Fixed Blade Knife with Sheath ~ Etched Wolf ~ Järvenpää Finland For Sale

Here\'s an excellent vintage Puukko knife. Made byJärvenpääin Kauhava, Finland, this Puukko has an overall length of 10.75\" and a blade length of 5.75\". The handle material is a black rubbery ebonite with a wolf etched on one side book-ended by bands of alternating black and white. Pommel is also ebonite. Blade is hand etched with \"IisakkiJärvenpää Kauhava\" and \"Made in Finland.\" It is unsharpened and free of nicks. While generally bright and shiny, the blade is just beginning to take on some dull patina, but not too much yet.I believe this knife dates from the 1920s to 1930s.Knife shows honest age with light scuffs and handling marks.The handle is darker where the sheath has covered it, resulting in a two-toneappearancethat you will likely be able to reduce with a little oil.This is a solid knife with no looseness. Includes a leather sheath with typical decoration, complete stitching, and an excellent fit with the knife. Sheath is missing its original chape / finial.
