Here is a great Estate Sale find. A very good looking Regency TR-1 , the first transistor radio from 1954. The leather case is in super condition with no tears or cracks in the leather. The snaps work perfectly.
The red plastic case of the radio has two small chips in the corners. The front of the radio has very few scratches. The interior is very clean and the labeling is very good. You can clearly read all of the important numbers, serial etc.
Of course, I had no way to test this radio for lack of battery. I am including as a bonus, an Emerson 999 Champion radio. This radio does not look as nice as the Regency, especially the dial. I did try a 9 volt battery in this radio with no success but have no idea what to do to try to fix it. It might be a very good bonus for someone as it is quite rare also.
Hopefully the new owner of these radios will make them work flawlessly but if nothing else, will make great additions to a transistor collection.

Had a question on the leather case if the Regency name was on it. The name is covered by the front flap on the right front. I tried to add another picture but could not because of offerding already on it. But it is visible as soon as you release the front cover.
