It\'s a shame that there are dishonest members on , and that they are enabled by \'s terms. This will probably cost me some offers, but I am not willing to put myself in a position of being cheated out of hundreds of dollars again. Enough of that, just wanted buyers to understand why the description is as it is. Now, here\'s the good stuff: We have here a SONY STR-7065. It\'s been compared favorably by many reviewers as one of the best receivers of the mid-70\'s, and I would have to agree with their opinion. Regarding the physical appearance, view the pictures. I think you will agree that a unit of this condition and cleanliness is hard to find. I personally have not seen a nicer one. Judge it for yourself and offer accordingly. I have listened to this in AM, FM, and Phono mode, and been very pleased with the function, performance, and sound. However, I am not an audio technician, just a music lover. I notice that the backlight on the far-left meter (signal strength) is out. That is the one defect that I have observed. I am not claiming that it is the only defect that this unit may have, simply the only one I\'ve observed as I\'ve used it. There may or may not be other defects of which I am not aware or knowledgeable enough to note. I can only say that my experience with the unit over the years has been positive. I\'m providing MY OBSERVATIONS, NOT an assessment of the condition, and they may differ from yours. This unit is 40 years old.
