Vintage Used Early Unmarked Fly Fishing Reel For Sale

An interesting example of an early fly reel, possiblyMontague. Unmarked except for the 60yard that appears on bottom of reel foot.Reel is 2 ¼ inch in diameter with 1 inch pillars. Side plates appear to be hard rubber. Some chrome loss on caps, buttons, handle, footand pillars but some of it is just dirt. Shows scuffing andscratching, and the rim of the face plate has some bends. Wrench mark on counter balanced handle. Should clean up some more or display it withis current charming character. Clickerworks but is loose. Winds smoothly andspins easily.

This reel would display nicely alongside other earlyclassic fly reels from Pflueger, Vom Hofe and Winchester.
