For your consideration we have this very unique set of inert Weatherby bullet casings. This is a rare green display with 10 bullets, however it is not the anniversary edition that was released in later years, so it is a very special vintage one to find. The top left corner reads: Weatherby® \"Symbol of Superiority”. Appears to be from the 1970\'s or perhaps even older, but the cartridges will never age, they are forever encased in the plexi material.

This bullet block looks to have been displayed as there are scuffs and scratches to the exterior surfaces. The ammo has been encased in a solid lucite (acrylic glass) block with and gold lettering. It weighs 2.65 lbs and measures just over 8 inches long. It is nearly 5 1/2 inches tall and just over 1 1/4” deep.

Bullets in the following sizes are included: 224, 240, 257, 270, 7MM, 300, 340, 378, 416, and 460.

There are no air bubbles on or around the bullets, but under bright lights you can see there are some tiny dust particles and black specks here and there, as well as a slightly dark‘streak’ that runs along the green back, somewhat along the crimps. A sort of smoky haze is barely visible on the top left corner. The bullets themselves are arranged not quite in a straight line from the base, some are a bit higher or lower relative to the identifying numbers, and some are slightly skewed to the left by 1-2mm or so. These seem to be normal variations from the custom process.

The quality and timlessness of acrylic glass is without equal. It is easy to see why these rare gun store advertisements are so sought after today as collector\'s items. This is a very nostalgic work, in highly desirable condition--and would make an excellent gift as well. The optical properties of the Lucite are mesmerizing and make for a uniquely prismatic display that you can become lost within!
