The jacket is an AN-J-3 jacket, the jacket designed to replace the A-2 for both Army and Navy aviators, and very briefly issued. This one bears the label of Doniger\'s civilian line, McGregor Sportswear, and is made in russet capeskin. It has a distinctive pointy collar, a wartime Talon zipper with a bell-shaped slider, buttoned patch pockets with a pen slot, bi-swing shoulders, a belted back and knit cuffs and waistband, gusseted sleeves, buttoned throat latch and a wind-flap at the zipper.
