This is a very nice original WWII US Military Issue Gurley Surveyors Transit in the nice original mahogany wood carrying case. Serial number 43262 dates it 1943. Very nice condition with original brass plumb bob, all levels are good, compass works fine, nice original finish, optics are clear and has good crosshairs. Solid mahogany carrying case is good with all original brass hardware and even has the original leather carrying strap! You wont find a much nicer 75 year old transit anywhere! Does not come with a tripod, but those are available locally or on .
